Charge your cell phone and MP3 player without wires

Isn’t it weird that our wireless electronics depend on wires for power and charging? On one side we are free to roam around, on the other we are obligated to return and plug in to recharge. How great would it be to cut the cord?

WildCharge has made this possible for the Motorola RAZR and will soon add the iPod Nano, RIM Blackberry and more.

This technology includes a charging pad and product adapter. The charging pad is plugged in and provides the power, while an adapter attaches (or replaces) the back cover of the product. These adapters are built with ridges that absorb power from the ridges built in the pad. Now, anytime you would like to charge your item, simply place it (in any orientation or spot) on the pad, and it charges with no more time than if it was plugged in directly. The pad has an automatic shutoff in case incompatible products, keys, or other items are placed on it.

It would be great when more of our products are enabled with this technology. Just imagine that we can place our cell phones, PDA, PSP, and more on one pad to charge them all. Finally, no more fumbling with different wires and cords.

WildCharge web store is opening October 12th with the first adapter for the Motorola RAZR. Which product do you think they should do next?
