Microsoft is set to team up with Nokia to take on the fight against Apple and their iPhone. Nokia will be using the Microsoft Zune’s software in their new competing mobile phones to give iPhone a tough competition. Nokia is losing the battle when it comes to sales of handsets against the iPhone, and the main reason behind this is the ability of iPhone’s software to do multiple kind of work and still be able to work faster than the regular Symbian mobile phones.
One of the most liked features of the iPhone is the access to your music and iTunes on the iPhone, and Nokia is attempting to deploy a similar functionality in their own Music phones. We have already heard of Nokia launching an iPhone competitor in shape of their 5800 Tube model which is to be released by the end of the year.
There is still some hope for the large phone maker, as they are getting together with Microsoft to integrate the Zune software on to Nokia phones. This news has come as a bit of a shock, considering Nokia supports every operating system except Windows. Many expected Microsoft to launch an iPhone competitor, but we have a confirmation that Microsoft would not be developing any custom-made phones but rather focus on the content itself. It will however help Nokia to hit Apple right where it hurts by helping them Develop an iPhone Killer.
