Robot Air Muscles Imitate Human Hand Movements

The amazing video below presents robot air muscles that are able to imitate daily human hand activity. For example, these robot hands pick fruits, grab items, thread a needle, dig in the sand, and much more. This is great robot technology that presents intricate realistic movements.

These robot hands from Shadow Robot Company are shown to be controlled by a glove. As a human moves the glove based on his/her needs, the air muscles of the robot react exactly the same to perform the intended action. Unlike the Robot Suit that you wear and simply moves with you, this provides a remote control of a robot by individual limbs.

Will this eventually be developed into control of all limbs? Imagine the possibilities of being able to control each individual limb specifically from afar. That could provide a lot of opportunities.
