Be the First to Grab a Google Glass, Send Your Entries by February 27

With all the hype surrounding the much awaited release of the Google Glass, a select few may be given the awesome chance to be its very first owners.

Google has announced a contest of some sort, wherein US-based fans can get a chance to test-run the first release of the Google Glass. The project, entitled, “If I Had Glass,” was made available through Twitter and Google +.  All you have to do is Tweet or post your answer in 50 words or less, and include the tag #ifihadglass in your entry.

Google will judge the winners on their most creative and most ingenious uses for Google Glass. And to make it more fun and more personalized, they allowed applicants to add photos and short videos to their posts or Tweets. There can be up to five photos per application, or a video clip with a max length of 15 seconds.

According to Google, since they cannot accommodate all those who want their hands on Google Glass, they will do a kind of test run among the selected winners. All contestants should follow +ProjectGlass and @projectglass so that they can easily be notified of their selection.

Other terms and conditions apply, and all participants must be residents of the US and 18 years old and above. Deadline for all entries is February 27. If selected, winners must purchase the Google Glass Explorer Edition for $1,500 and must travel to San Francisco, New York, or Los Angeles to personally pick up their device.

Surely you won’t run out of ideas on what you would do if you had Google Glass. For instance, Japanese researchers have found a way to use Google Glass for weight loss. Or how about integrating the anti jet lag goggles with it? There are also other inspiring ideas from wearable tech trends, too.
