Pixar-Style Star Trek Characters

Hollywood is always about the remake, and sometimes it’s actually done pretty well, like the the new Star Trek film(s), under the guidance of J.J. Abrams. In the future, don’t be surprised to see it coming in animated kind of from, a-la Pixar style.

Everything looks better when Pixar and Disney get their hands on it, right? Well, mostly. The Incredible, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo. Most films are home runs. So Canadian artist and illustrator Phil Postma decided he’ll throw Pixar a bone, hoping they’ll pick the idea up, and make a Star Trek movie of their own, based on the original series characters and even actors.

James Tiberius “Jim” Kirk

Kirk

Spock

Spock

Looks too much like a villain.

Leonard McCoy

McCoy

Probably a little too apish.

Montgomery Scott

Scotty

Looking very much like a swinger from the 1960’s.

Nyota Uhura

Uhura

Hikaru Sulu

Sulu

Pavel Andreievich Chekov

Chekov

The actor who played Chekov on the orignial series, Walter Koenig, looked like one of the ‘The Monkeys.’ The Pixar version doesn’t do him justice.

A Klingon

Klingon

Looks like someone from the Ten Commandments film from 1956.

A Romulan

Romulan

Definitely a villain.

Orion Slave Girl

Orion Slave Girl

A little bit of sleezyness never hurt anyone, as far as I know. If you don’t have enough Star Trek in your life and just happen to be looking for a tattoo to get, maybe one of these can satisfy you.
