Star Wars Prequels Posters Better Than the Movies Themselves

A while back Olly Moss did some incredible art work for the original trilogy of the Star Wars films, IV-VI, aka A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Well, the prequel trilogy, actually ignored by many Star Wars fans because the films were by general consensus highly disappointing, although they’ve brought in more than enough cash through the cinema and the merchandise to George Lucas, who simply expanded the universe’s back story without actually caring if he’s doing it right or not.

Even if the movies aren’t to your liking, especially the second one (Attack of the Clones), which was absolute rubbish, fan art is always incredible. Inspired by Olly Moss’ work, Zenithuk from deviantart.com did something very similar to the posters of the prequel trilogy, episodes I-III.

The Phantom Menace

Jar Jar Binks was probably the most memorable (and not for good reasons) innovation once the film hit the cinema, but the Roger-Roger robot was just as annoying.

Attack of the Clones

Revenge of the Sith

I’ve always wondered why the prequels were so poorly received, but I guess it was the overall feeling of a half-assed job by Lucas regarding the script and story. The best Star Wars movie was V, the Empire… and it wasn’t written by him. There was overall excitement engulfing Phantom, because it was the first film in nearly two decades, but it was one long pod racing sequence for many.

The third film was watching Anakin turn into Vader, so you had to go and watch it. Again, fan boys and the general public weren’t pleased. At least he posters are cool.
