Yes, I know what you must be thinking here, I’ve seen the movie Signs as well, but don’t worry, that was only a work of fiction. In reality, aliens had nothing to do with producing this awesome painting in the snow.

According to our source, Thaeger, this fantastic piece was put together by an artist named Sonja Hinrichsen. With the help of five volunteers, all wearing snow shoes, and a little bit of time on their hands, they managed to walk out into freshly fallen snow and form all these awesome designs.

Check out the video below to get a closer look at what was going on.

The Circles in the Snow scene took place at the Rabbit Ears Pass in Colorado, USA. I’ll have to say, it’s pretty fortunate that they founda good day to create this impressively choreographed piece. I can only imagine what would happen if half way through it started snowing or if the wind really picked up. But thankfully, they were able to complete the piece and take a few pictures for posterity.

Luckily for us, we know the whole story of what’s going on here, and can appreciate it. Heck, maybe it’ll even give us one more reason to not despise winter so much. However, on the other hand, I can only imagine the reaction that some unwary drivers passing by, or even someone flying overhead, might have when they see this. I can guarantee more than a few bizarre reports heading in to the local authorities.
