I don't know how Ellen Ripley would have reacted if she found Maylien posing like this. As you can see, the month of May is all about xenomorphs and sensual curves. This is also the month when most flowers come back to life and nature starts being colorful again. As the saying goes "Ape-ril showers bring Maylien flowers." Not sure if Erika had this in mind when creating the calendar, but it can be taken quite literally. Also, this month's picture would have probably been nicer if a Queen had been represented instead of a common xenomorph.
