A lot of heroes for geeks aren’t necessarily athletes, rock stars or politicians, but instead are people who defined the field of technology in some way. Greek visual designer Charles Tsevis has created mosaics of some tech icons using, well, icons.
Here’s one of the creator of “Space Invaders,” Tomohiro Nishikado. You know something you’ve created is popular when it makes your country run out of coins, as happened in Japan.

And here’s a mosaic of Admiral Grace Hopper, one of the pioneers of modern computing. Not only did she invent one of the first modern programming languages, COBOL, she’s also credited with coining the term “debugging” after supposedly removing a moth trapped inside a malfunctioning computer.

Finally, we have a picture of Sir Clive Sinclair. He’s not particularly well known in the States, but across the pond, his ZX Spectrum introduced lots of U.K. households to computing in the 1980s, the same way the Commodore 64 did in the U.S.
