Take Tokyo Anywhere: Crystal Sky Tree Light

When I first saw an ad for the “Crystal Sky Tree,” I thought it must have something to do with the Christmas season. Little did I know that this Sky Tree replica is actually based off of the Tokyo Sky Tree (originally the New Tokyo Tower) that’s currently under construction in Japan. At present, it is the tallest artificial structure in the country and when it is completed (estimated to be Spring of 2012, so you still have some time to book a trip) it will rise to a heigh of 634.0 meters (2,080) feet. Not a bad accomplishment if I do say so, and all the more reason to pick up your own little Crystal Sky Tree to mount on a desk near you.

This Sky Tree Lamp comes equipped with a color changing light that provides a variety of colors which you can check out yourself above. You can purchase the “Warm Color” version with blue, purple, orange, and red or if you’re a cool guy or gal the cool colors come in blue, purple, white, and green lighting effects. The light is powered by 3 AAA batteries which unfortunately do not come along with your purchase. Considering the lamp costs $67.00, you’d think the manufacturer could spring for a few energizers, but what do I know. Either way, if you’re that much of a fan of Japan’s crazy and hectic modern culture, this would make a great gift come Christmas time. I don’t think elves know how to make Crystal Sky Tree replicas, so you’re going to have to step up to the plate.

Speaking of Japan’s modern culture, we’ve featured some other fun structures here on Walyou, too. Although you can’t purchase one, this 60 Foot Gundam Statue was incredibly impressive. If you’re looking for something a little more practical, how about being able to lift up to 200 pounds in one go with this power loader exoskeleton.
