If you’re a workout fanatic like me or just want to beat the heat this summer, smoothies are the way to go. Don’t be upset if you don’t know how to make smoothies. It is pretty simple and all you have to do is drop in a few fruits, some milk and a few goodies that I’ll get to in a bit. But you’ll need a great blender for getting the right consistency for your smoothie. That is why I’ve done the research for you and brought you the Top 10 Blenders for Awesome Summer Smoothies. Let’s get started!
Oster BLSTPB-WBL My Blend
Let’s start off with the cheapest blender of the lot. But let me tell you, this blender from Oster has one of the best designs among all the blenders on this list. It is small and lets you blend your smoothies and milkshakes right inside the sports bottle. All you have to do is swap the lid of the bottle and put on the sipper cap. There is a resettable fuse which will revive the motor in 15 minutes if the blender overheats.
Hamilton Beach Power Elite
Hamilton Beach Power Elite comes with 700-watt of blending power with 12 blending functions. It also comes with a 40 oz. dishwasher safe glass jar that lets you blend all your favorite stuff inside it. The blender implements a Wave Action system that pulls down the ingredients towards the blade for the best consistency. They also have a patented, unique pouring spout that does not spill and create a mess. The product comes with a 3-year limited warranty, so you don’t have to worry about it if something unfortunate occurs.
KitchenAid KHB1231WH 2-Speed Hand Blender
This is the one and only hand blender on this list. The KitchenAid KHB1231WH hand blender comes in 17 different colors, but the appearance is not the only thing that this one is good for. There is an S-shaped blade which can consistently blend smoothies, milkshakes, soups and even baby food. It has 2-speed settings and the soft grip handle is extremely comfortable to hold. Another thing that I liked about it is the lid that comes with the blending jar, which allows the user to stow away the smoothie or milkshake for consuming later.
Cuisinart CPB-300
This is one of my favorites solely because of a number of cups that you get with it. You get 4 16-ounce cups, an 8-ounce chopper cup, and a 32-ounce blender cup. The 16-ounce cups allow me to keep my smoothies ready for consumption when I want them. The sleek body of the CPB-300 houses a 350-watt motor and also an electronic touchpad. The whole housing is made of ABS and the front panel is made of stainless steel. Finally, it comes with a 3-year limited warranty which should clear your worries about buying this one.
Oster BPCT02-BA0-000
This is yet another product from Oster but this doesn’t feature the striking design as that of the My Blend blender. This has more of a traditional design but has a lot of standout features. The best thing about it is the 10-year limited warranty for the DURALAST All Metal Drive. I don’t think any company out there supports their product so much, but that is because of the faith that they put in it. This blender also comes with a Boroclass glass jar and a 2-ounce filter cap with markings.
Nutri Ninja Pro BL450
With 900 watts of sheer power and a design similar to that of the Oster My Blend blender, Nutri Ninja Pro BL450 is more of a premium offering coming at around $70. Their Ninja Pro Extractor Blades crush through whatever you put inside the jar. Along with the blender, you also get a recipe book with 30 recipes, an 18 oz. and 24 oz. to-go cups, as well as sip and seal lids. They also have different variants of this blender, the BL451, and BL456, which offer most of the same features but differ slightly in the cups and the number of recipes that they offer.
Ninja NJ600 Professional Blender
The NJ600 has the largest jar among all the other blenders at a whopping 72 ounces. It is also one of the most powerful blenders coming with a 1000-watt motor. With that amount of power and their signature 6-blade technology, it literally pulverizes anything that comes its way. I really liked their blender pitcher which comes with a pour spout. This is a really good addition considering the large capacity and it doesn’t create a mess.
Margaritaville Tahiti Frozen Concoction Maker
The last three blenders on this list are way above the rest of the other blenders. These come at prices over $300 and they offer top-notch performance throughout with next to zero problems pointed out by users. The first one is the Tahiti Froze Concoction Maker from Margaritaville. The reason why it is termed as a concoction maker is that of its ability to create margaritas, mudslides, Daiquiris, Coladas, Mojitos, smoothies and more. This is a large blender that can create 72 oz. of frozen drink per cycle. You should definitely check out its videos on YouTube and it is pretty cool.
Vitamix S30 Personal Blender
Coming at a price tag of almost $370, the S30 Personal Blender from Vitamix has a similar design as that of the Oster My Blend. But unlike My Blend, you can also use a 40-ounce compact container apart from the 20-ounce portable container with the flip-top lid. The 790-watt motor has variable speed control as well as a Pulse Mode. Another stand out point is the 5-year full-time warranty with a 30-day guarantee. It is apt for small kitchens and it doesn’t take up much space like the Margaritaville Tahiti.
Vitamix 5200 Blender
The last one on the list is also from Vitamix and it costs a whopping $416. You may be thinking why it is priced so high and why it is different from the others on this list. The first standout feature is the ability of the blades to heat up the cold ingredients inside. You can get hot drinks in about 6 minutes. If that is not your cup of tea, you can go for the normal operation to get a frozen drink. The large 64-ounce container can be used to make large batches of drinks which can be stored for future consumption. Last, but not the least, it comes with a 7-year warranty.
