An Illinois-based dog lover has crocheted clever outfits inspired by the popular game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for her two dogs. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was one of the most popular and addictive games of 2011, but somehow one creatively-minded adventurer was able to pull herself away from the game long enough to crochet Bethesda-inspired outfits for her two dogs.
Alicia Scantlin posted a few photos of her dogs on Facebook a few days ago, and the internet quickly noticed them. She had dressed one dog as a Dragonborn and the other as the dragon he’s presumably about to slay, costumes which appear to have taken a great deal of effort considering the level of detail she put into them. She even included a helmet, sword, shield, and bracers for the Dragonborn beagle’s outfit – after all, her Dachsund makes a fierce-looking dragon!
We saw these awesome costumes on Geekosystem, which shows off photos of the only pair of costumes Scantlin has made so far. However, Dragonborn dogs will soon be taking over the world outside of Skyrim, as Scantlin personally commented on the post saying that she has received phenomenally positive feedback on the costumes (as evidenced by the sheer number of sites to which the photos have been crossposted), and as a result, they will soon be available for sale on eBay. She did not give an exact ETA, but did mention that she is accepting requests for custom sets. After all, the costumes she made for her dogs don’t exactly look like one-size-fits-all.
