The Gameloft team, one of the biggest and most dedicated content developers for mobile market announced that four of their games will be able to interact with the Apple Watch.
Smartwatches will do more than enhancing our fitness experience, if the Gameloft team has a say in it. The company is mainly known for their video games for the mobile market, but now they announced that their latest offerings would also be compatible with the Apple Watch, Apple’s latest gadget.
The compatible games so far are Asphalt 8: Airborne, Dragon Mania Legends, Modern Combat 5: Blackout and Brothers in Arms 3: Sons of War. Once updated to their latest version they will be able to interact and perform receiving commands straight from Smart Watches especially designed to make gameplay deeper.
Now, users playing from their iPhones will be able to perform actions via their Apple Watch and do things like change a characters equipment, browse their inventories, receive notifications and updates, follow the in-game progress, and gather resources – which ironically is what smartphones in general do with console and PC games, act as a second screen of sorts. Are we in the dawn of a new age, where mobile games will get progressively deeper?
