Outlandish Gold Plated Nike Zoom Force 1

Shoes that are made of gold do not appear in news everyday and this has to be one of those rare moments when we actually find Nike Zoom Force 1 all covered in gold.

Nike for some reason decided that it had to get this particular pair of shoes in gold and commissioned Koyama, the renowned artist. He took nearly 9 days to create a mold and then cover it with gold. He even added opals in the front as a finishing touch. The remade shoes were inspired by Japanese anime and Koyama calls it “American Eagle“.

It may not be the most functional snowboarding shoes that we have come across but they sure are some of the prettiest shoes ever. In fact, that was Nike’s idea, to turn its best selling shoes into jewels. It is not clear who would purchase these shoes or if they would just be used for marketing purposes by the guys at Nike.

You might also want to go ahead and take a look at the Iron Man Sneakers that we had featured earlier. They do not have gold all over them but the very fact that the shoes are inspired by a famous comic character makes them rather attractive. Would you go ahead and purchase shoes that are covered in gold?
