Apple uses competitors to build the iPhone 4 while making one sweet profit off of you. What will be the case for the iPhone 5?
This is a rundown of the iPhone 4, its manufacturing costs and the cost to the consumer (msrp). Just how much are you being taken to the cleaners for? Maybe more than you’d like. It costs $178 US dollars to produce the iPhone 4 (and one can assume for the iPhone 4s as well), but the retail price is $560, making Apple’s slice $368 US dollars. And to think they can only offer 10% discount for their student buyers?
Apple can charge $900 for an iPhone and they will still have people lined up to buy.
Given these facts, would you still purchase (another) iPhone?
