We were probably all really excited when we heard about & saw “Avatar” (by James Cameron) and the amazing HD and 3D footage that resulted from the movie. Many people were left asking though; when will this technology be available for consumer purchase? Sony was one of the many people to announce at CES 2011 that they would be releasing a Full HD 3D Camcorder to the public for purchase.
The camcorder has the ability to take normal pictures, but the real beauty comes from its ability to record 3D HD Video which you can playback in 2D HD if you don’t have a 3D TV. It’s a handy and portable device, and is definitely worth checking out if you’re into the filmography scene and wanting to try out new technology. Like many other camcorders being released this year, you can pre-order the device from the manufacturer’s website and major specs can be found right below.
