One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure or piece of art… and turns out even the army (particularly the army) has a lot of stuff to dispose of.
The guys at Stockpile Designs (based on Brooklyn, NY) are the masterminds behind the Megaton floor lamp, a lamp that was made with the hand-polished casing of a Korean War kinetic bomb. The bomb is suspended 42 inches above the ground on a stand, and they promise that it won’t explode, even if it falls, as the insides have been replaced by wiring for the most unique lamp design we’ve seen. This lamp retails for $1,680, but hey, if explosive things are the only furniture you’ll accept, it might be worth considering.
