Sony has started manufacturing full-frame camera models with the launch of DSLR-A900, its first full-frame model. The DSLR-A900 is a 24.6 Megapixel DSLR camera that uses the 35mm full frame CMOS sensor and new dual digital processing engines using BIONZ® processing engines.
Other notable features of the Sony DSLR-A900 include a sensor-shift image stabilization and a super 100% coverage viewfinder. The DSLR-A900 camera which is aimed at serious photography enthusiasts, provides the world’s highest resolution of 24.6 MP.
Phil Lubell, director of digital camera marketing at Sony Electronics said, “It represents the best in sensor and image processing technologies and offers enhanced functions, performance and reliability so photographers can push their creativity to the limit.” The DSLR A900 provides enhanced image detail and a wider dynamic range for natural color reproduction. It provides the expressive power of wide angles and perspective, thanks to The camera’s Exmorâ„¢ CMOS sensor capable of thanking Ultra-Fine Images as the human eye perceives them.
With the help of the sensor having 6,000 on-chip, column-parallel A/D converters to convert analog signals to noise-resistant digital signals at the earliest possible stage, The Sony DSLR-A900 attains high-speed data transfers and photographs with reduced noise. The SteadyShot technology used in the Camera helps it to achieve an anti-shake effect equivalent to shutter speeds faster by 2.5 to 4 stops.
The many additional key features of the Sony DSLR A900 include:
Eye-level glass Penta-prism OVF, 100% coverage, 0.74x magnification
