12 Set Photos of Classic Films

Movie magic is something some of us prefer not to know about. Behind the scenes shots sometimes ruin the concept of what we see on screen is actually happening. But, we are knowledge thirsty people these days, and we actually get more fun knowing how classic films were made than leaving it open to interpretation.

Inception

Not everything was CGI in Inception. Some experiences had to actually be something the actors go through.

The Avengers

At least there was actual fighting going on in this scene, otherwise all of Liam Hemsworth muscles were for naught.

Avatar

One thing that always pops into my head when I see these pictures is how goofy the actors must feel inside these special suits.

The Lord of the Rings

Ian McKellen isn’t a huge fan of horses, so they needed these guys to fill in for him when Gandalf was galloping about.

Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park is 19(!!!) years old by now, and still, the Dinosaurs filmed without the use of CGI, look pretty awesome today as well.

Godzilla

Just a Japanese guy walking around the set, no need to get frightened.

The Matrix

Creating ‘Bullet Time’ made use of all those cameras on the green screen behind the hanging actors.

Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark

You don’t want your lead actor to hurt his back while filming, would ya?

Alien

Not as scary as you once thought it was, right?

Star Wars – Original Trilogy

For more awesome moments from the Empire Strikes Back.
