One doesn’t think of the “Two Weeks” lady from Total Recall when discussing Boba Fett. However, we must remember that both the characters are known for their helmets and how their headgear has influenced a couple of generations.
Artist Tom Spina has created the Boba Fett/”Two Weeks” lady from Total Recall helmet in order to pay homage to two of the most enduring characters of science fiction.
While Boba Fett is the bounty killer known for his mysterious appearance in Star Wars, the “Two Weeks” lady from Total Recall was Arnold Schwarzenegger trying to escape Mars dressed in drag. Interestingly, I think this helmet serves the purpose of throwing light on who the Two Weeks lady really is. The lady is San Diego based drama artist Priscilla Allen who is usually overshadowed by Arnold for all the predictable reasons.
This helmet here seems to be a cross between that headgear from Total Recall and Boba Fett’s helmet and the resulting piece of art makes you think a lot about accessories and props that usually are forgotten over the years. Artists such as Tom Spina help us to keep these memories alive.
