For those that live in dangerously seismic zones that don’t mind their fears being exploited for cash, here’s a treat: an Earthquake proof bed. The cool part, though, is that it works. I mean, we hope it does.
This Japanese creation is a $5,600 earthquake-proof ‘Wood Luck’ bed. The thing that makes it “earthquake-proof” is its specially treated cedar frame, capable of withstanding up to 65 tons of pressure without breaking. Does your ceiling weigh that much?
You can see the bed from all sides in the video below. They don’t show it during an earthquake too, which is too bad. That would be the perfect time to use a shaky cam, at least.
