If you happen to be a fan of Legos, Star Wars or stop motion, then you should check this out. If you happen to be a fan of all three, then try to control your excitement.
Growing up, there was nothing I loved more than Legos. I hated Barbie and was jealous that my older brother got cool Lego sets and I got a stupid doll and her hot pink material goods that couldn’t do anything besides sit there. What’s the point in toys that stare at you with vacant expressions? I wanted to build and destroy cities, create grotesque monsters and crash my creations into a thousand little pieces.
So when I read that someone had created the Millennium Falcon out of Legos, I was beyond thrilled. Francisco Prieto, a visual artist, has spent years working on his stop-motion video of the creation of his Millennium Falcon.
When I first heard about this I thought “how could this possibly take three years to complete?!?” and then I watched the video and realized just how many teeny tiny Lego pieces go into something like this. That is a lot of Lego pieces to step on.
