The cloud computing is the future and Google’s very Chrome OS is evidence of this. Even Google’s Android OS for mobiles, in its Version 2.2, the Froyo features cloud element which lets you share anything from PC to Mobile using this technology. It improves communication, control and access across dissimilar platforms. And we must say, we are very pleased with its potential and really believe, It Is Future.
But why are we praising it so much now? Well, we just heard of cloud thing — in tiny form — designed for a Logitech music system concept, that will let you play your music library across various devices on any other device at home through one control point, or say one access point.
We are talking about the Logitech Squeezebox — a network music player, basically — that allows you to play music without any constraints. Really.
You just need to stream your audio files to it. It can be done via Wi-Fi or Ethernet at Home or Office, but it supports internet music too. The Squeezebox is not shy of anything you ask it. It even supports music services you want from the likes of Pandora, Slacker, Napster, Rhapsody, Last.fm and SIRIUS.
Thanks to Brian Dils, we know about this cool electronics item. Brian was involved very tightly into this Logitech product and responsibly served towards:
- Up-front research, product conceptualization
- Navigational/interaction design
- Industrial design/ergonomics consulting
- User interface/screen design
- Management of visual design
- Conducting usability testing
The Logitech Squeezebox is basically made up of three individual components: the Squeezebox Touch, the Squeezebox Duet and Squeezebox Radio.
Squeezebox Touch has an iPad like interface limited to music player only but capable of adding shine to your living room, with style. Check the UI interface of it above.
Another component is the Squeezebox Duet that is similar to iPod Nano. It’s your best bet in the whole system if you travel a lot and a good companion for outdoor time. We hope it serves as remote control too for the Squeezebox Touch, using Wi-Fi or anything, we won’t mind.
Last component in the package is the Squeezebox Radio, which plays your online media and also streams it -we think so — to other components of the whole system.
