NES30 Pro Bluetooth Game Controller Brings ’80s Gaming Up to Date

Thanks to 8bitdo Tech, nostalgic gamers now have the chance to still their hunger for NES games with the NES30 Pro Bluetooth game controller.

More and more past designs are making a comeback, and that just stands to show just how well those products ranked in the functionality department. Nintendo’s NES controller, probably one of the most memorable products of the ’80s, has now been brought up to date by 8bitdo Tech, who did not shy away from implementing some modern-day technologies into this ageless design. The new NES30 Pro Bluetooth game controller is sold in our store, Walyou Deals, at a heavily discounted price for a limited time.

With so many NES emulators around, especially some that work on mobile devices, you might want to give the original NES some rest. However, you don’t have to miss out on the entire experience, as you can still use a NES30 Pro Bluetooth game controller to remind you of the old days.

The single connection that NES30 Pro Bluetooth has with the past is the retro design, but even that has been somewhat altered. After all, the original NES controller didn’t sport any thumbsticks like the new one does, but given how much these could help with mobile games, it’s a more than welcome addition. Whereas the original NES game controller was tied to the console using a proprietary cable, users of the NES30 Pro controller have a lot of freedom, as this relies on Bluetooth 2.1 to connect to other devices.

You shouldn’t think that emulated NES games are the only ones you can play using this Bluetooth controllers. Since it features similar functionality with PS4, Xbone and pretty much any other wireless controller, you can use it with all sorts of devices. However, as far as the operating system is concerned, you are restricted to iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac OS.

According to the manufacturer, some of the modes it can work in are

  • PC joystick
  • Android joystick
  • Bluetooth keyboard
  • iCade mode
  • Emu-Touch Screen mode
  • Wii remote mode
  • Wire USB controller
  • 360 Xinput

Included in the package are the NES30 Pro Bluetooth game controller itself, as NES-style USB cable, a NES 30th Anniversary keychain, and a ring holder. Even though they don’t affect the devices functionality in any way, the last two items are nice additions.

The controller runs on a 480mAh Li-Ion battery that charges over microUSB, but there are no details regarding how long it takes to fully charge it or how long it lasts on a single charge. However, given how little energy this type of devices consumes, it should last you for several hours of intensive gaming.

To relive some of the early days of console gaming with a modern day Bluetooth game controller, head over to Walyou Deals and get the NES30 Pro for $36.99, 26% off the original price of $50. The price can be furthermore cut down by referring a friend, action that gets you an additional $10 off.
