The latest leaks of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus suggest that the earbuds will come to win white, black and light blue. Similar details were shared by other leakers such as XDA last month. The leaks also suggest that the earbuds will have left and right buttons, which will be located in the charging case.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus packs in a number of features

As the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus will come with a bigger battery, it will last for more than 12 hours. It also comes with many audio quality improvements. However, the earbuds will not see active noise cancellation. The leakers also claim that the earbuds will be 50% more expensive than previous models and that is going to be quite exorbitant for most people.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus is known for its unique clarity and power. Most people purchase these earbuds to use alongside their phones and tablets. It is not clear when they will actually arrive in the market. However, when they do, they will surely be accepted by users as one of the most attractive earbuds in the market.

Here are some of the unique advantages of Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus

  • The new earbuds are very ergonomic and fit into the ears very well.
  • They are also comfortable to wear and do not fall out easily.
  • The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus is made from high-quality material, making the earbuds last for a long time.
  • The earbuds are also stylish and look great on the user if they choose to wear them outside.

Samsung tries hard to conquer a burgeoning market

Samsung has been on a spree lately and has launched a number of products, including an unrelated garment cleanser. In addition, Samsung’s Galaxy S20 will arrive on the market soon. S20’s specs were unveiled a little while ago too, and the smartphone is expected to be very powerful and feature-rich.

The S20 will, of course, be compatible with these new earbuds and will be a great way to interact with all kinds of media. Samsung has had to fight with a number of competitors in recent months. Huawei is growing rapidly, and so is OnePlus and other Asian giants. Though Samsung had initially envisioned Apple as its major competitor, things seem to have changed quite drastically. Coincidentally, leaker Ishan Agarwal’s claims seem quite realistic.

Disney+ Coming to Europe a Week Earlier than Expected

Disney+

Those who had been waiting for Disney+ will be pleased to learn that it will arrive a week earlier than expected in Western Europe and the UK. In fact, it will be available to purchase on the 24th of March, which is hardly a couple of months away. The subscription service will cost between £5.99/€6.99 a month. If one chooses to purchase an annual membership, one will still have to cough out £59.99/€69.99.

What does the Disney+ come with?

To start with, Disney+ will roll out in Austria, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, and the UK, alongside a few other smaller countries. Disney+ comes with a number of games such as Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Lady and the Tramp, and The World According to Jeff Goldblum. Though Disney+ costs almost the same as Netflix in the UK, one must remember that subscription fatigue has started to sink in.

Subscription fatigue has finally set in

Many people have begun to avoid subscriptions in order to focus on services they truly love. Of course, Disney+ has very little to worry, as children seem to be growing in number at a faster pace than one could have imagined. Disney Plus has long been awaited by parents and their children, and its arrival will definitely cheer up a lot of people. However, many may not be able to shell out the extra cost of subscription fees, unless they are only into children-ready programs.

Disney+ also has other competitors such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, both of which have a better library. Consequently, it is primarily targeted at younger audiences, and the library reflects the target audience’s tastes and preferences. Those who are interested in a more democratic list can choose either Netflix or Amazon Prime. When Disney+ does arrive, viewers can expect to be regaled by a host of programs that are both exclusive and premium.

What is the future of the company?

The company is in discussions with a number of content creators at the moment. It is trying to rope in exclusive and premium content creators for its platform. Disney programs are already incredibly popular among children and adolescents. Western Europe and the UK have a huge fan base for Disney characters and this is probably why it is arriving slightly earlier there.

Specs of NVIDIA’s GA103 and GA104 Graphics Cards Have Been Leaked

NVIDIA’s GA103 and GA104

The specs of NVIDIA’s GA103 and GA104, the company’s latest graphics cards, are out. At first glance, they seem to be quite impressive. This is a step above the existing GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, a marvelous GPU. The latest graphics cards are at least 6 times more powerful than their predecessors and come with real-time ray tracing. These cards are enhanced by artificial intelligence, and the sky is the limit for serious gamers who are looking for a professional-grade GPU. GeForce RTX 3080 and the 3070 will be powered by these cards.

What do NVIDIA’s GA103 and GA104 pack in?

GA103 is more powerful than the GA104, and it supports 20 GB of GDDR6. It also comes with a superlative 320-bit memory. GA104 differs only slightly and is quite powerful itself too. These graphics cards are specifically meant for those who play into live video games that are complex and very rich in graphics. Gamers can expect very smooth and professional gameplay. However, GPUs that run on these graphics cards are going to be pricey, and not many people will be able to afford them. They are targeted at a niche audience, and for a very good reason.

Many people may not even have computers that support these kinds of graphics cards. NVIDIA seems to be playing catch-up with AMD, which has been on a roll lately. AMD recently released multiple graphics cards, GPUs, and other such products. In fact, insiders started to wonder if it reflected a sort of midlife crisis among the gaming giant. Thankfully, NVIDIA’s compensatory behavior shows that AMD is neither aging nor is becoming irrelevant. NVIDIA’s approach is quite business-centric, and these leaks come at the right time.

How will the market receive GA103 and GA104 graphics cards?

It remains to be seen how these cards will receive ed by the larger gaming community. Many people may find it problematic to invest in exorbitant sums of money. Others may simply find the cards too powerful for their regular use. Many others may not even possess computers that support advanced graphics cards such as these. If the rumors are true, and the specifications of the graphics cards GA103 and GA104 are correct, AMD will have some tough competition coming their way.

Samsung AirDresser Cleans and Sanitizes Clothes In a Novel Way

Samsung AirDresser

Samsung Electronics launched an innovative device that helps refresh and sanitize clothes at home. The Samsung AirDresser is a wardrobe-like device in which clothes can be hung after use so that they are cleaned using Samsung’s unique technology.

The technology combines powerful air and steam to kill germs, remove dust and sanitize clothes conveniently. With a growing need to clean clothes efficiently without having to put them through an entire wash cycle, there is a huge demand for devices such as AirDresser. The product was launched in the U.K. and Russia, and may soon arrive in the rest of the world as well.

Here is how Samsung AirDresser works:

Samsung AirDresser
  • Garments need to be hung inside the AirDresser
  • One just needs to turn it on and wait for the device to run its course
  • The AirDresser’s Jet Air and Air Hangers release powerful streams of air to remove dust
  • The device makes very little vibration and noise, and they are hardly perceptible
  • JetStream sanitizes the garment and removes all kinds of microbes
  • Deodorizing Filter removes all kinds of unpleasant odors resulting from tobacco, food, and sweat
  • Sweaters, shawls, fur and other such garments need not be washed regularly and can be cleaned in this device to protect them from damage

AirDresser helps reduce water consumption

Samsung AirDresser

AirDresser is one of the best ways to reduce water consumption as well. As it does not require a water supply and cleans garments quickly and effectively. Thanks to portable water containers, very little water are consumed in order to clean the clothes.

The device is perfect for those who have a lot of fancy clothes

Samsung AirDresser

The Samsung AirDresser seems to be the perfect solution for those who have a good collection of expensive clothes. It’s no secret that most expensive clothes are not meant to be washed regularly in the machine. In fact, they need to be taken care of well in order to maintain their exquisiteness. However, dust, grime, sweat, and odors necessitate washing these clothes. Thankfully, Samsung AirDresser eliminates the need to wash clothes often and keeps them clean and fresh all the time. Most importantly, it does not consume much water and helps in reducing one’s carbon footprint as well.

PS5 Slogan May Have Been Inadvertently Leaked

PS5 Slogan

While PlayStation 5 (PS5) is expected sometime soon, PS5 slogan may have been leaked inadvertently too. PlayStation Europe’s Twitter account changed its Twitter bio to “It’s Time to Play”, suggesting this might be the new slogan. Of course, it is a little too early to jump to conclusions, but in all likelihood, it either points to a deliberate marketing ploy or an unintentional reveal of its new slogan.

PS5 slogan reveal comes on the heels of specs leak

Recently, quite a lot of details about the PS5 were released as well. For instance, we now know that the PS5 will be revealed on the 5th of February, 2020. However, its actual release in the market will only happen sometime in October 2020, which is not too far away, if one gets philosophical. PS5 will cost $499 and will come in multiple games. Some of the launch games are Gran Turismo 7, Legendz, Godfall, and others.

How true are the PS5 slogan claims?

It is still difficult to ascertain the veracity of these leaks and claims. While such leaks have been true in the past, there have also been instances where supposed specs leaks and launch date leaks have been misleading. Similarly, one needs to tread with caution before jumping to the conclusion that “It’s Time to Play” is the new PS5 slogan. However, it does point toward a certain trend that has become repetitive with respect to PS5.

Sony may have adopted Apple’s strategy of marketing and branding

The company has begun to borrow a number of Apple-like strategies. For instance, it refused to attend the E3 2020. This is very similar to Apple refusing to attend the CES 2020 or one of the other gadget expositions. The way “It’s Time to Play” sounds is eerily similar to Apple’s sloganeering as well.

Apple often uses in-your-face simplicity and banality in its choice of words. Sony might be taking this approach to set itself apart from Xbox 360 and Nintendo and position itself as a more premium console.  One needs to wait and watch, and really confirm if the leaks that have been revealed so far are true or not.

Huawei and TomTom Enter Maps Deal to Beat US Ban

Huawei and TomTom

Huawei and TomTom have tied up to help Huawei get around a ban that was put in place by the US. Currently, no American company can do business with Huawei, resulting in loss of access to Android, Google Maps, and other Google-based services and products. Huawei will use TomTom’s technology to launch its own map-based applications and navigation software. The Chinese giant has struggled to enter the American market, though it is wildly popular in the rest of the world.

Huawei and TomTom work together to override an American ban

Huawei hasn’t had an easy time after the US banned it from doing business with American companies. This means, after the ban, it could no longer run its phones on Android, use Google Maps on its devices, and sell them in the US.

While Huawei is very popular in Asia and elsewhere, its devices cannot be sold in the US at the moment. This had begun to hurt the company’s bottom-line figures. This is one of the reasons why it has now opted to work around the ban, and eventually release its devices to the American market. A step in that direction is its decision to work with TomTom to bring traffic and navigation information to users.

The company plans to use TomTom’s technology and develop its own applications. Huawei is also actively working to launch its own operating system called HarmonyOS. HarmonyOS will power al of Huawei’s devices such as tablets, IoT gadgets, TVs and smartphones. Huawei’s App Gallery closely mirrors Google Play Store, and users have noted that they don’t miss the popular Android store even one bit.

What could be the consequences of Huawei’s tie-up with TomTom?

Currently, it is not clear how this decision will pan out. Most likely, Huawei’s ban in the US will continue to be put in place. The US and China have had major trade-related disagreements in the past, and a few days ago a pact was signed. Yet, this is not going to help Huawei, as America also believes that the Chinese company could be used for spying, causing security risks.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Specs Are Out, and They Are Impressive

black Samsung phone

New details of the Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphones are out, and the specifications look quite impressive. There are going to be three models: Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20 Plus 5G, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. They are all going to be launched on the 11th of February. Android 10 will power these 3 new models and they are likely to run on Samsung one UI 2.0 as well.

What the Samsung Galaxy S20 specs are like

The Galaxy S20 5G will sport a 6.2 display, an Exynos 990 7nm chipset, 128GB of storage and MicroSD storage of up to 1TB. The other two models will have similar specifications but the difference truly lies in the screen size. The S20 Plus 5G will be flanked by a 6.7-inch screen, while the S20 Ultra 5G will sport a humongous 6.9-inch screen. While the Ultra will sport 3 rear cameras, a 10x optical zoom, and 100x digital zoom, the other two models will have 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom.

All the 3 models will boast of 8K recording. S20 5G will run on a 4,000mAH battery, while the S20 Plus 5G will be powered by a 4,500mAH battery. The Ultra model will have a much larger battery of 5,000mAH. All the models are also water resistance, with IP68 Water Resistance.

While the new specifications are quite impressive, more details are required to make a complete assessment of the smartphones’ specs. For the moment, the cameras seem to be quite impressive, as are the screens and battery. There is no information about the price or the phones’ performance.

Samsung has many competitors this time around

Samsung has had to fight off a number of competitors in recent years. While initially, only Apple was its major competitor, the Korean giant has several rivals right in Asia. OnePlus, Huawei and other companies have been eating into the company’s profits and market share across Asia and elsewhere. If these Samsung Galaxy S20 phones aren’t a success, the company will have more worries than just Apple’s iPhones to deal with.  This is probably why the company is taking the familiar approach of large screens, powerful cameras, and other impressive features.

Huawei P40 Pro May Sport 7 Cameras and a Ceramic Body

Huawei P40 Pro

Enigmatic phone leaker Evan Blass, also known by his Twitter handle @evleaks, just shared a rendition of Huawei P40 Pro. He shared the images on his Twitter account, and the first look guarantees a very stylish and sturdy design.

More about the Huawei P40 Pro

The phone leaker suggests that the P40 Pro may come in a ceramic build, with front glass and back panel sporting curves. The most striking aspect of this design rendition are the five camera lenses that dominate the back panel of the phone. The Leica-branded camera may support 18-240mm coverage and 13x zoom. On top of this, the phone is likely to sport software enhancements compared to its predecessors. The cellphone also comes with two front cameras for crystal clear selfies.

Connectivity may come via USB-C port, while the speaker is located at the bottom of the phone. The P40 Pro will not have a headphone jack, much like many of the newer smartphones these days. Huawei launched its P-series phones in Paris, last March. Thus, the actual model will probably be announced very soon. Rumors also indicate that the phone may not support Google services.

Here are the features of the Huawei P40 Pro in brief:

  • P40 Pro is expected to sport 7 cameras in total
  • 5 cameras will be placed on the back panel, while 2 will be on the front of the phone, for taking selfies
  • There won’t be a headphone jack, and the speaker will be located at the bottom of the phone
  • A USB-C port will help people to connect the phone to other devices and plugs
  • A sleek and curvy design will appeal to those who are aesthetically inclined

Are Evan Blass’ leaks reliable?

@evleaks is a major source of leaks and information related to smartphones. For a long time, Evan Blass tweeted anonymously, until he decided not to. He has shared important leaks in spurts, and has often been the target of both criticism and praise. Today, he is a well-respected observer and journalist whose information leaks are often true to the mark. Thus, it should not come as a surprise if the P40 Pro looks exactly how it does in the rendered images.

Facebook Abandons Plans of Selling Ads on WhatsApp

Selling Ads in WhatsApp

After attracting a lot of negative publicity, Facebook has backed away from its plans of selling ads on WhatsApp. However, this does not mean Facebook has given up on its hopes to generate revenue from WhatsApp. Facebook plans to bring applications to WhatsApp’s Status feature.

Selling ads on WhatsApp has always been controversial

Jan Koum, the co-founder of WhatsApp, left the company after Facebook announced its plans to introduce ads on the popular message platform, in 2018. Brian Acton, the other co-founder of WhatsApp, left the company too, citing misalignment of vision and threats to privacy. Facebook had put together a team to help it discover ways to monetize WhatsApp. Recently, the social media giant disbanded that team as well.

Facebook plans to allow businesses to organize contacts and communicate with customers. This would nudge WhatsApp in the direction of a CRM. The co-founders of WhatsApp left the company because doing so would negate the end-to-end encryption feature. At the moment, one can safely surmise that Facebook will continue to look for ways that van help it generate revenue off WhatsApp Status. However, for the time being, all plans seem to be put on hold.

Facebook’s WhatsApp fiasco in brief

  • Facebook has abandoned plans to introduce ads into WhatsApp messages
  • It plans to introduce ads at a later date on Status
  • Facebook also intends to allow business users to turn WhatsApp into a quasi-CRM
  • WhatsApp’s co-founders left the company citing disagreements with the monetization approach
  • Any attempt to introduce ads may result in people migrating in droves

Privacy concerns have forced many users to look elsewhere

WhatsApp has generated a lot of privacy concerns and people have pointed out that the end-to-end encryption isn’t so stable. In fact, many governments have repeatedly placed requests for information about chat messages sent on the platform. Consequently, users have migrated to other chat messengers such as Telegram, Signal, and Wire.

If Facebook pushes its plans to introduce ads at a later date, the company may lose out on a substantial chunk of its users. Facebook has faced similar problems with Messenger as well, but it retains a stronger control over its native messaging app.

Chrome OS Apps’ Shutdown Dates Announced By Google

Chrome OS Apps
Apps can no longer be found on the Web Store.

Google confirmed that Chrome OS Apps will shut down imminently, and that Chrome OS will lose access to the App section too. Mac, Linux and Windows already do not have access to the application section of the Web store on Chrome. Google also announced the closing dates for each of these platforms, which will give both users and developers to backup any data that they may want to.

Important dates to remember regarding Chrome OS Apps

Chrome Web Store will not accept new applications from developers after March 2020. However, they will be able to update applications until June 2022. Chrome Apps will not be supported on Linux, Max and Windows after June 2020. Users and application developers should make note of these dates, and backup their app data or migrate them before they lose access.

Things to do before Chrome OS Apps become defunct

It is important to note that most users haven’t been able to access Chrome’s packaged applications for quite sometime now. If you use Mac, Linux, or Windows, you will not notice anything. However, if you use Chrome OS, access to packaged apps will imminently stop.

It is required to backup data from any applications that you may deem important. Some data can be migrated to other applications as well. In fact, there are many applications that help in moving data from one app to another. These are called connectors.

Business users may be able to hold on to their access for a much longer time than others. However, eventually they will have to move out their data before they lose access to applications.

The circumstances behind closure or Chrome OS Apps

Google has been working quite hard at removing clutter from its products and websites. It has particularly set its sights on Chrome OS, as the company has some big plans for the platform. At the recent CES 2020, a number of Chrome OS devices were announced. As Chrome OS picks up momentum and more people start to use it, it becomes necessary to keep the platform as clean as possible. This is one of the reasons why Google has begun to phase out Chrome OS Apps.
