Samsung has yet again managed to surprise us with its all new N100. The electronic giant which is based in South Korea has always been in the news for innovation and improved technological products. The company has introduced the N100 netbook in India. Based on the dual core Intel Atom processor, this ultra-portable device weighing just 1.03 kg promises to provide users with computational capability and connectivity on-the-go.
The N100’s design is based on the tremendously successful N150P Netbook, which was sold over 3 million units till 2011. The N100 Netbook is a proof of Samsung’s continued innovation and promises to deliver superior quality, mobility and satisfaction to its customers. Encased in an ultra-durable scratch-resistant Duracase casing, the N100 seems to be built to weather the rigors associated with mobility. It features a 10.1″ LED display with a matte surface created to enhance viewing even in broad daylight. Powered by a dual core Intel Atom N435 processor running at 1.33 GHz, with 1 GB DDR3 memory and a 250 GB hard drive running at 5,400 rpm, this netbook runs on the new MeeGo operating system which boots very fast and is light on resources. Users can also choose to go for DOS or Windows 7 operating system if they so wish. It comes with integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, which along with the rest of the components, promises to save power by up to 50 times. Further, this N100 is powered by a 3 cell (40 W) battery.
The MeeGo operating system delivers an efficient and pleasant user experience. The user friendly interface enables easy access to online and offline contents. Even the social networks can be viewed with the just the click of a button i.e. it’s easier to stay connected. A fast boot-up process and energy-efficient design means that N1500 is perfect for those who travel frequently.
While the N100 may have a compact form factor, this does not impact upon the device’s usability. Thanks to the inclusion of an ergonomic keyboard with intelligent key spacing, typing is easier, faster and more accurate. The user experience is also improved through better connectivity options; two USB ports enable the connection of additional peripheral devices as well as a VGA port to connect a larger external monitor.
The Samsung N100 Netbook is priced at Rs. 12,290/-. With the addition N100, Samsung has a range of eight Netbooks in its portfolio priced between Rs. 12,290/- to Rs. 21, 990/-.
What all can you ask for? Samsung N100 Netbook weighs just about 1.03 kg, provides 1 GB DDR3 memory and a 250 GB hard drive. It is durable, robust and scratch-resistant and available in two colors black and white. With 3 cell battery, anti-reflective 10.1” LED display and ergonomic keyboard with intelligent key spacing, it seems to be worth its value especially when you are on the move!
