Apple co-founder Steve Jobs has died the day after the launch of the iPhone 4S.
Apple announced Jobs’ death on their website with a short message:
Apple has lost a visionary and a creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
Apple’s home page has been changed to simply a portrait of Steve Jobs and “1955-2011” on the page.
Jobs had left his position as CEO of the company and had been battling pancreatic cancer.
All of us here at Walyou wish his family, friends, colleagues and Apple fans the best in what is no doubt a difficult time. He’s left behind a legacy of insanely great products that have inspired and educated many, paving the way for a future of continued brilliant innovation.
