The Black Ops Xbox 360 Paint Mod

Call of Duty released in the fall of 2003 to a rapturous ovation from gamers and critics alike. It was considered a revolutionary in the first person shooter (FPS) segment with computer-controlled allies supporting the player through the missions. This provided a complete experience of carrying out a military mission during war, as opposed to the lone ranger experience of other FPS games at the time. The seventh installment of the phenomenal FPS game has released and is titled, Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game sold more than 7 million copies in the US and UK within the first 24 hours of its release. Black Ops is the first game in the Call of Duty series to be set in the Cold War.

For those who have played Black Ops and totally loved it we have just the thing for you. It is an Xbox 360 console modified to reflect the adrenaline rush of the game. Created by a Call of Duty fan, the modified console has been christened ‘Black Ops Xbox 360 Paint Mod’.

The best part of this Xbox 360 paint mod is that it uses the entire body frame of the console. On the front of the black console, below the power button are two revolvers, facing downwards, in white.  Next to the DVD drive is a striped line that has the word ‘Classified’ imprinted at the end of it.

The right side of the console continues with the striped line motif, which imprinted on the right hand border with the words ‘Top Secret’ imprinted below it. An eye catching Black Ops logo, replete with a skull and a flying eagle bordered by a bullet shaped badge, sits in the centre. The design is covered completely in a white tone.

The Black Ops Xbox 360 Paint Mod reveals its full glory with the title of the game, Call of Duty: Black Ops, occupying the entire left side of the console. A Black Ops badge with two arrows pointed across each other and a military knife in the middle of the arrows balances the title of the game imprinted in bold white.

One of the best things about the Black Ops Xbox 360 Paint Mod is that anyone can recreate this mod if they have a black Xbox console. All you would need is some silver paint and stencils. The entire budget falls well below $50.

The Black Ops Xbox 360 Paint Mod has been created by a fanboy for other fanboys.

Gaming fans will find Nasty XBox 360 Slim Mod and Tron Legacy Xbox 360 interesting, too!
