Twenty-three titles sounds like a good number to launch a new console with. How about you? Well, according to Nintendo HQ, that’s the amount there will be as launch day retail companions for the Nintendo Wii U, which hey would-ya known, is November 18.

Back at their big-stage event in New York, Nintendo only made public a cryptic release schedule for the sea of games potential new Wii U owners should expect for the first few months of the console’s life. A “launch window” as they described that would last between November 18 to March 2013.

Common sense wise, that meant absolutely bupkis for anyone patiently waiting with day-one holds to grab their shiny basic (or premium) Wii U on that fated day as soon as the doors open to their big chain retailer of choice. They just want to know which games will be there to play on launch – simple as that.

With today’s news thankfully, everything is revealed. Yet, now a new problem presents itself: which games to get? Oh, and in which format? Nintendo promises that all first-party titles will be available digitally from their online Wii U storefront. Decisions, decisions.
