You can’t go anywhere or scour through social media without seeing thousands of people posting selfies of them at home, on the beach, at a restaurant, or even… well, you get the picture.
At some point, these things get old, especially without any original ideas to make the selfie a little bit more interesting. Well until now, at least for video game lovers and those with a fetish for old Nintendo games.
Christine Love‘s new project is the Interstellar Selfie Station. It’s not a game, like some of her previous projects. It’s a program that syncs with your webcam and lets you take selfies in the pixelated style and color palette of 8-bit games.
The Interstellar Selfie Station only works in-browser right now, but it’s coming to iOS and Android doodads next year.
