3D Printed Lightsabers: just like the real thing

It’s been a while since we talked Lightsabers and Star Wars, and since today we learned that Episode VII is called The Force Awakens, so did our passion.

3D-Printed-Lightsaber

The laser part of the Lightsabers can’t be recreated just yet, but the rest of it is fair game already thanks to 3D printing, and Jacky (aka Valcrow), who has created a bunch of CAD drawings that anyone can check out if they wish to build (err, print) their own. It comes in two versions, a simpler one made out of just 4 pieces, and a more complex one, with 14 pieces to assemble. Still, we’re not complaining, Luke Skywalker had it rougher than we did anyways. Now we’d like to see alternative versions such as Darth Maul’s dual lightsaber, because why not? Clearly Valcrow is talented enough.
