For all you photographers who would like to get closer to the subject without losing the clarity, an Achromatic Diopter can help. These are mostly expensive, so a Do It Yourself project could be fun and not hurt your wallet.
Daniel Schweinert has written a guide to build an Achromatic-Diopter in 2 easy steps. Based on your camera lens size, you can use a pair of binoculars and then search or build a holder for the lens.
The video below shows some examples of the clarity during close ups and zoom.
