If you ever wanted to make your own metal detector or think of someone that would enjoy building it themselves, this is an easy do it yourself project that makes a simple metal detector to mess around with. It could also be a great project for kids to build and then enjoy for hours.
To make your very own, all you need is an AM walkman/radio, a calculator and some tape for the two.
The video below presents how to make it quickly and also explains how it works and why. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but if this is a fake, the guy sure fooled me. He sounds like he actually knows what he is talking about.
