All those cellphone geeks that were not satisfied by the Nokia N96 Smart phone, here is a new offering for you. The much talked about iPhone competitor by Nokia, named the Nokia tube (The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic), has just got a release date and will launch on October 2nd of this year. While people are looking to unlock the iPhone 3G, this Nokia cellphone could provide fierce competition.
Nokia has chosen London as the first place to launch the Nokia Tube phone. The device is a touchscreen phone running Nokia’s Symbian S60 operating system and hopefully will include the Haptic display many are waiting for. The date of launch for this specific touchscreen cellphone by Nokia coincides with its launch date for the “Comes With Music” service. I guess we can assume Nokia is cooking something behind the scenes.
