Inspired by Vianney Halter, Jean-François Ruchonnet from the DMC group has created an almost strange looking series of wristwatches that totally blow your Geeky mind. The Cabestan Winch Tourbillion Vertical watches come in different styles and each have a typical chian or a cog and a triple drum layout. They represent the Steampunk Art movement, only they are too expensive.
If you are the sort of person who loves Steampunk inspired Geek Gadgets and are ready to spend a fortune on a watch, well these might just be manufactured for you. This sure is an engineering marvel for it comes with almost 1,352 components all working in perfect symphony and the precision is comparable to that of a person who has an obsessive compulsive personality. The watches are driven by 450 link chain and many nickel silver drums.
However, all this grandeur comes at a grand price. The basic model costs $275,000 and if you decide to have a few diamonds and platinum on your watch you should start getting ready to part with $400,000. The Cabestan Winch Tourbillion Vertical Watch surely looks out of this world and most importantly, is a visual treat. However, it looks a tad difficult to read time on a Geek watch like this.
