If you are looking beyond your regular Android phone or your iPhone, then the answer is here. ViewSonic presents before you, the ViewSonic Viewpad 7. This is ViewSonic’s first ever Android tablet and measures 7 inches.
The Viewpad has front facing VGA webcam, a 3 mega pixel rear camera, and an integrated 3G/GSM modem for data connectivity and phone. The ViewSonic Viewpad 7 can be utilized as a big-sized regular Android phone. It can actually be regarded as the largest cellphone!
The ViewSonic Viewpad 7 comes with A-GPS, Bluetooth, and USB, along with 3G and Wi-Fi. You can store your data on the microSD card that supports up to 32GB. There is also an automatic g-sensor flips screen orientation, and you can get even an access to the Android Market. The Viewpad 7 has an 800*480 pixel display and a 600 MHz ARM processor and runs Android 2.2 on a capacitive touchscreen.
Along with phone functionality and 3G, the ViewSonic Viewpad 7 also comes with integrated Bluetooth, and a full-sized SIM card slot. It supports SMS, MMS, VOIP, and any standard voice calls. Its hub of features is easy to use, and you also have access to the Google Android application store which has more than 100,000 applications.
The ViewSonic Viewpad 7 is made with the aim to provide the user with an ‘always on’ connectivity which they use in a mobile phone, but this time, with a larger screen size. The device aims at changing the way the user watch, listen, read, and interact with media, with a well-constructed and hi-tech 7 inch screen. It will also be supporting handwriting recognition.
The ViewSonic Viewpad 7 will be made available soon and the price will be subject to the method of sale by the supplier. The anticipated price is expected to be around 350 Pounds including VAT. ViewSonic will be displaying the Viewpad 7 at the IFA 2010 in Berlin, in its stall 107 in Hall 14.1.
