PlayStation/N64 iPod Dock

There is no saying how far our obsessions will go. Sure there are some creepy ones, but then there are the safe “I must have everything with this theme” types. Maybe that’s taking it a little bit to the extreme side, but many of us do enjoy buying products that are related to things we love, and that is why there is such a big market in fan merchandize. The designers for these two products decided to take the functionality of the high selling iPod and the appearance of two wildly loved systems and combine them to create controller looking iPod docks.

The first controller is a little bit old-school, but that’s what makes the controller awesome. The controller literally belongs to the Nintendo 64 system. Someone had taken a controller from the original system and decided to tray and put it to practical use everyday (depending on how much you actually listen to your iPod).  Since it is an original controller, you are able to push all the buttons, but nothing will actually happen when you do. It is mainly meant to be a decorative way to charge your iPod.

Here’s what it looks like:

Nintendo 3

Nintendo 5

The second design concept is exactly the same concept as the first, however instead of a Nintendo 64, it’s a PlayStation. This is probably made for those users who aren’t Nintendo fans and prefer Sony. Some people are so hardcore with their preferences that they won’t buy anything Nintendo related. Every obsession has an extreme. Luckily for these people, they have the option of picking between the two – or perhaps make one themselves, seeing as these ones are also hand made. Though buying them may have more worth than actually trying to put it together.

Both of these docks can be used for any iPhone or iPod excluding the iPod nano, and would make a great addition to your Nintendo/Sony collection.
