This is a pretty cool publicity stunt by BBDO, who turned two cars into video game controllers to play ping-pong. The campaign is appropriately called “Smart eBall”. The whole point of the campaign is to show how the Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has an excellent acceleration,on a level that competes with any regular car.
In order to move the car on the display, the driver had to accelerate back and forth in real life. The event took place in Frankfurt, and users were allowed to drive the cars themselves and play. The stunt turned out to be a huge success as it drew in 520,000 spectators. See the event taking place in the video below.
