This Sunday is Easter, and one German guy has gone all out, decorating a tree with over 10,000 Easter eggs.
Volker Kraft, of Saalfeld, Germany, has been at it since 1965, Newser reports. He started with plastic eggs but switched to real egg shells, enlisting his family to help him get the egg yolks out and dye the shells. The number of eggs grew until they covered his tree.
“You can now see here what develops after 47 years, when the tree grows, the wife blows the eggs and the children start painting,” Kraft said. He said he has no intention of increasing the number of eggs. “There will be no increase because I do not have storage capacity anymore,” he said. “I would have to sleep with the eggs otherwise.”
