Instagram and its filters may turn forgettable pictures into hipsters’ gold, or incredible pictures into another cliché, and it’s all on the user to learn how to use them to their advantage.
Apparently, how you decide to edit your pictures is more than just fun, and says quite a bit about yourself. Being that there’s over 100 million active users uploading pictures every day, certain conventions tend to emerge, and from just seeing the pictures and analyzing the filters used, users can be classified. Granted, you won’t become an “optimist” or “cold-hearted” guy/gal just because you upload one picture with one filter, but when a community is big enough that patterns and deviations start to emerge naturally, it’s always quite interesting.
