There is no dearth of artifacts and products that are inspired by R2-D2 but the handmade Recycled Scrap Metal R2-D2 sculpture is something that immensely superb.
The sculpture is made from recycled metal parts and the folks at ScrapSculptures require just 12 hours to finish one of these cool figures. The Scrap Metal R2-D2 has a Steampunk look to it and reminds you of a bygone era. In fact, this could be an ode to the industrial age themes of iron, brass and steel.
Much of Steampunk art involves a lot of brass and other metals just like the R2-D2 here. I would say, this is one of the coolest sculptures that I have ever come across and it would also send the message of using recycled metal in order to create art. What could be cooler than that?
