Nothing says 80’s like creating mixtapes with actual cassettes (none of that fancy iTunes playlist thing, okay?). One could say songs had more soul when passed like that, as the user was forced to listen to them in order to record them. Believe it or not, it was quite a statement! And now, Jeff Skierka brought all those memories back together, thanks to this design.
The cool thing is that this time, it’s just a fashion statement, without popping sounds, background noise, or anything. Just a nice coffee table with a great concept that tributes the past and lightens up your future with style.
The table is in a perfect 12:1 scale, and it’s carved out of maple, walnut and Lucite. The best part, though, is that it is completely reversible. Yay, more cassette tape references!
