New York Based artist Scott Campbell decided to use all of his expertise from the world of Tattoos and dish it out on a staggering amount of $1 bills. Using lasers, Campbell carved out skulls and other tattoo like sculptures into real, uncut minted dollars to carry his message across.
The exhibition, which opened in Los Angeles, is named ‘Nobeless Obiquity.’ It seems that by carving a skull into a box through roughly $11,000, Campbell aims to poke a bit of fun at the rich and raise issues of just how arbitrary money can seem.
