For nerdy parents everywhere looking to pass on their nerdy genes, no longer is A for Apple as in the fruit, but rather as in the computer.
I’ll be honest with you, I’m not looking to have children any time soon. I’m a big believer in children are cute, as long as they aren’t mine. That being said, when I do have children, they will be of the nerdy variety – learning all about old school gaming systems and fun, geeky technology that their mom knows and loves. And what better way than with flash cards that speak of the nerdiness in everyone. Rather than “U” is for “Umbrella,” I’d so much rather teach “U” is for “USB Drive.” And let’s face it, with today’s growing technology culture, “X” is for “Xylophone” is no longer culturally relevant. Who the heck even plays a Xylophone anymore?! But those XXX websites, yea, we all know them…
So, without further adieu, I present a new set of ABC flashcards, created by Emma Cook, a woman who believes even when learning your alphabet, you should still be culturally relevant.
