The RcSuperhero Suit Turns You Into Superman

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Or is it God’s way of signaling, that you had too much to drink last night? Well, it is none of the above (though you can always go easy on the booze) and actually something called RcSuperhero, which turns you into a bonafied superhero (at a price ; of course).

Since the dawn of time, mankind has dreamt of taking to the skies and flying without a care in the world. Sure we have had our share of aviation success stories, but somehow flying a plane isn’t just the same thing as developing wings and taking to the vaulted heavens. Maybe it is those damn birds, or the steady diet of myths we have been fed as a child, or something psychological. Whatever the reason, slapping on some artificial wings is a folly attempted by mankind through out history.

Now, thanks to RcSuperhero, one can take to the blue skies without plummeting to their death! This functioning suit in reality is a RC Airplane, that has been designed in such a way, that you get play Iron Man or the Super Man in real life. The flying mechanism has been designed to resemble a human being, and the idea is to hook yourself to it and pilot it through the skies via a remote control. Measuring a mammoth 78?,  and weighing around 3.3 pounds, the device is said to be safe,  because of its low weight  surface area and low center of gravity.

The entire kit can be purchased from here for $345 and includes laser-cut foam, substructure materials, control horns, a plywood motor mount, carbon fiber fabric strands, two 4mm square arm spars and other various carbon fiber sizes, a picassa photo build album with captions, materials list, and e-support materials. You have to spend extra for the radios and motors and should have at least some  experience with building RC models  (it is your life after all). If you want to save some money, then opt for the PDF file kit  for about $19.95 or opt for a more  advanced kit with pre-cut parts for $295.

Still not sold on the idea? Well, then have a look at the video below and see it in action. Who knows, maybe one day in the distant future, they will develop something that fights crime too!
