It’s possible that the level of art displayed from the Renaissance and onward up until the 19th century will never be reached again, but there is still a way to upgrade it, or at least make it more fitting to today’s times and themes – by geekyfying it.
Be it putting Darth Vader instead of the Virgin with her Unicorn, or Smurfette instead of Lady Jane Grey, these masterpieces re-done, made by artist Hillary White, do seem to capture the essence of our time a bit better.
