Prince of Persia as a game was created way back in 1989, and during those days it was considered to be a great leap in terms of animation since the game involved complex graphics, using a method called rotoscoping.
In the preceding years, more games have been released and now, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is one of the highly anticipated movies this year.
It is going to be released on May 28th and if you can’t wait that long, you could take a look at this really cool Lego re-creation of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time trailer.
It was created by Brian Jacks and his colleague Matt Harper. The idea flashed to Brian when he looked at a two-inch Ben Kingsley Lego figure at Toy Fair and he decided to animate him using Lego Building Blocks.
The Lego animation consists of nearly two minutes of nonstop action, and it re-creates the trailer that we have all begun to love. You could even recognize Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton and Alfred Molina and also some romantic scenes in the end. You could also take a look at the Prince of Persia Storybook about which we had written sometime back, or some other great recreations including The Thing using G.I.Joe figures or The Shining Red Rum Robot Remake.
