Garden Fresh – When Animals Invade the Supermarket

When I read the synopsis to this photography project by agan harahap and realized the meanings and innuendos he was meaning to deliver across the image into the viewers minds, I felt kind of bad that all I thought that these animals look really cool inside a supermarket.

According to his description on Behance, the Garden Fresh project investigates the shifting boundaries between humans and animals in today’s environment and the complex relationship between art and nature… the animals are stripped of their own identities and are used as empty vessels to be ?lled with the human drama of parody, satire and allegory.

Maybe. I just think having a Pelican selling me fish sounds like a pretty cool idea.

Bambi having a fun day picking his greens at the Supermarket.

There is more to this world than seeing it in black and white.

After he’ll be done with all the lettuce, there won’t be anywhere left to hide.

You know the old saying – never trust a Pelican fishmonger.

A feast for Crows, although to more accurate, this looks like a Raven.

Carnivorous heaven.
