Fans of Avengers vs X-Men will be happy to know that the story is picking up where it left off, but this time from Hawkeye’s point of view.
With Joss Whedon’s Avengers film hitting theaters next month, Marvel is doing its best to capitalize on the popularity.
Created by writer Matt Fraction, and artist David Aja the newest Marvel series will follow Hawkeye (Clint Barton) as he struggles to find his place among the superheroes, villains, and supreme beings. As a mere human, it’s understandable that Barton may feel a bit overshadowed and out of place. Readers can expect lots of angst, sarcasm, and general apathy.
For those wondering how Barton can carry a series on his own, Kate Bishop, the Young Avenger who is as adrift as Barton, will act as sidekick and foil.
If you are looking to pick up the newest work, or possibly dodge it, you can do so in August, 2012. And if you are wondering if Aja and Fraction make a worthy team, bear in mind that they worked together in 2006 on Immortal Iron First.
Side note: did anyone else originally read that title as the Immortal Iron Fist? Because that sounds like a really horrifying story.
