If you’re a geek, chances are you like snacks. If you’re a geek, chances are you also like geeky snacks. If you like Star Wars and cupcakes, you’re in luck. Here’s a cool edible cupcake topper shaped like R2-D2.
The cupcake topper and wrapper shaped like the famous droid comes to us from Etsy user Devany, via Bit Rebels via That’s Nerdalicious! (phew!) She created the cupcake topper for her son, who is a Star Wars fan, as well as for herself. She made a set of 12, but sadly, they’ve already been sold.
Devany made them out of professional-grade fondant, with edible paint and food coloring, if any geeks out there who love to bake might want to replicate her feat. The toppers are dome-shaped. This, she says, “enables you to still mound on the frosting or compensate when your cupcakes turn out like volcanoes!!!”
Even though the cupcake toppers have been sold, you can still get her Death Star birthday banner for $22, as well as a customized birthday invitation for $8, perfect if you’re throwing a party for your Star Wars-loving youngling.
